Providing assistance to local governments
and communities since 1977
County governments that did not receive a direct allocation and local governments with populations under 35,000 can apply for Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) funding through June 11, 2010. Energy efficiency retrofits in buildings and facilities are allowable including insulation, lighting, HVAC, weather sealing and replacement of windows and doors.
Beginning June 1, 2010, the State Energy Office at the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) will administer over $40 million of incentives and rebates through EEPS. Make sure your local governments, public schools and parks get their share of Illinois energy efficiency funds!
